Actions and plans to reduce emissions *

Scope 1 Actions

own facilities

Yes

We hold ISO14001 which facilitates a plan do check act framework: energy is reviewed for continuous improvement opportunities. Many energy reduction schemes have been implemented. Upgrading LED lighting, installing new compressors, insulating the ceiling cavities, and new double-glazed windows.

own vehicles

Yes

Replacing all petrol/diesel fleet with electric fleet when the leases are due for renewal by 2025

own processes

Yes

Air con is limited to a few office locations and there have been no reported leakages

scope 2 actions

purchased electricity

Yes

The next contract will be 100% renewable

purchased steam

N/A

-

purchased heating

Yes

Gas heating is effectively managed. Once renewable alternatives are available then we shall procure or look to replace gas with renewable electricity

purchased cooling

N/A

-

scope 3 actions

supply chain related (upstream)

purchased good and services

*

Yes

We continue to work with our suppliers to replace components of our product with recycled content material, recyclable material, biodegradable material, lighter material and plastic alternatives to enable a circular economy

capital goods

*

No

-

fuel and energy related activities

*

Yes

We will procure 100% renewable electricity and onsite renewables when financially viable

transportation and distribution (upstream)

*

Yes

Requesting annual data for freight carbon emissions to evaluate suppliers' carbon emissions and consider suppliers that can provide materials closer to market (e.g. factored goods are distributed directly from the supplier)

waste in operation

*

Yes

Objectives and targets set to reduce production waste year-on-year

business travel

*

Yes

Since the lockdown, business travel has been reduced with many meetings still taking place online

employee commuting

*

Yes

A heatmap of employee commuting has been determined with further incentives planned to reduce carbon emissions e.g. bike to work scheme, car share, work from home

upstream leased assets

*

N/A
