Scope 1 emissions are new to 2023 and are for a vehicle to perform operational work in remote sites and is not suitable for an EV. As this side of the business expands the fleet will incorporate some EV and Hybrid vehicles allowing the carbon intensity to reduce by matching location to vehicle type.

The mileage of the vehicle has been multiplied by published UK Govt carbon intensity factors for 2023.

Home working scope 1 and 2 are calculated in line with the ECOACT white paper. Staff travel by train has been estimated on 20p per mile as an average. Car mileage is in actual miles travelled.

Our business is based upon helping client organizations to reduce their carbon footprint by procuring renewable energy, measuring usage and effectiveness of projects and providing site information on whole buildings and portfolios. Our software brands are Trace and Kiveev.

We are working with GRESB in the Real Estate sector, and have developed methodologies to report on Scope 1 2 and some of scope 3 on buildings.

Our risks around loss of buildings has been mitigated by home working and spreading staff though multiple regions in the UK. Data is stored in the cloud, securely, with resilience against losing a server location.

Yes

Our purpose statement is to "reduce the negative impact of human activity on our planet". Our Vision is "For every company in the world to be ecologically and financially sustainable"

Yes

By working with clients to measure their energy reduction projects, and working with industry and government to remove blockers on energy data usage information. We continue to educate staff on environmental awareness.

Our carbon intensity before offsetting has increased in 2023 vs 2022 due to two main factors. Firstly the increase in face to face rather than virtual meetings that is driven by both wellbeing concerns and client request. Secondly a move into new business sectors that involve inspecting energy and water meters at sites. The intensity is expected to continue to increase as this side of the business grows.
