With regard to ‘A climate disclosure framework for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)’ we have chosen the method of measurement of our impact on nature within the Scope 1, 2 and 3 leveraging the SME tool Business Carbon Calculator. This tool was developed by the company Normative (https://businesscarboncalculator.normative.io/en/), which is an official partner of the UN-backed SME Climate Hub. Calculator is built with support from Google.org in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standard. Each business activity that is input into Normative is paired with a corresponding emissions factor, which generates the calculation of its total carbon footprint: ∑ (Business activity × Emission factor) = Company Carbon Footprint We provided our company’s business activities input into Normative, such as kWh recorded, and money spent. Emission factors indicate the amount of greenhouse gases emitted for each activity per unit, for example, kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent (kg CO2-eq) per kWh, or currency unit. Normative's carbon accounting engine uses emission data from government databases, academic studies, company reports, and regulatory disclosures and is regularly updated by Normative's Sustainability Engineers.
