Alinea International retains a reputable emissions calculation company, Ecometrica. We provide the data for our various office locations to align with requirements from the Government of the United Kingdom. As an International Development consultancy, much of our carbon emissions are related to our office locations. There are few products or downstream activities to speak of as much of our emissions are related to project activities.

All employees are encouraged to save energy when possible (turning off lights and devices etc.). We have extensive guidelines; sustainable traveller and meeting guides which we are rolling out to reduce our emissions. Options for purchasing certified green energy are being explored.

Alinea is an international development consultancy and many of our projects are focused on providing nature based solutions to climate change. For example, we are currently providing negotiation training to delegates in the Maldives who participate in climate negotiations (COP27 and COP28). Further more, we provide support for climate change related courses at the Maldives National University.

Methodology used to assess these as climate solutions:
