2.2 Near-term target*
50% of absolute scope 1+2 emission reduction from my base year by 2030
2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your net zero and near term targets.*
Our near-term target is an absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions. We operate from a serviced office in the Arise Innovation Hub on Anglia Ruskin University's Chelmsford campus, where we understand electricity is supplied through ARU's zero-carbon power purchase agreement and the building does not use gas. As a result, our Scope 1 and 2 emissions are small and largely determined by the building operator. The majority of our footprint comes from business travel (Scope 3), which we will continue to measure and report annually. We are currently developing a climate action plan, with an initial focus on reducing business travel emissions and expect to extend it to cover Scopes 1, 2 and 3.
2.4 To reduce emissions in line with my commitment, my company has a climate action plan and is taking action*

3.7 Have you taken any actions to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions in the reporting period?*
Yes
3.7.1 What actions have you taken?*
Climate strategy and planning, Other company behavioural changes
3.7.2 Describe your actions taken to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions in the reporting period*
We switch off lighting and heating whenever the office is unoccupied. Our hybrid working model means the office is typically only in use two to three days a week, which limits our energy use. Our office is located within Anglia Ruskin University's Arise Innovation Hub, which we understand is supplied with zero-carbon electricity through the university's power purchase agreement.
3.8 Which tools or methods did you use to calculate your Scope 1 and 2 emissions?*
Own internal calculations
3.8.1 Specify any additional details*
Energy use estimated from office floor area using UK office benchmarks, adjusted for part-week occupancy. Location-based Scope 2 calculated using DESNZ 2025 conversion factors. Market-based Scope 2 reflects the landlord's zero-carbon electricity supply.
Value Chain Emissions (optional)
Scope 3 emissions
4.1 Have you measured any of your scope 3 emissions?*
Yes
Supply chain related - upstream emissions
Customer related - downstream emissions
Scope 3 units confirmation*
I confirm that I have entered all Scope 3 emissions values in metric tons CO2e
4.2 Have you taken any actions to reduce scope 3 emissions in the reporting period?*
Yes
4.2.1 What actions have you taken to reduce scope 3 emissions in the reporting period?*
Business travel and commuting
4.2.2 Provide any additional details*
We actively encourage staff to car share and use public transport when commuting and travelling for work. Our total footprint has remained broadly stable year on year despite significant business growth, meaning our emissions relative to revenue have fallen. This year's international travel was higher than usual due to the opening of our US office, which required senior staff to travel to Florida.
4.3 Have you asked any of your suppliers to set a net zero target (either voluntarily or as a requirement)?*
Yes
4.3.1 What percentage of your suppliers have you asked?*
-
4.4 Have you communicated your commitment and actions to any of your customers?*
Yes
4.5 Which tools or methods did you use to calculate your scope 3 emissions?*
Own internal calculations
4.5.1 Specify additional details*
Business travel calculated from flight records (nine return economy flights UK–Florida) using DESNZ 2025 long-haul economy factors with radiative forcing. Employee commuting estimated from typical office attendance, approximate distances and mode of travel, using DESNZ 2025 average car factors. Fuel and energy related activities estimated from office electricity use.
Climate Solutions (optional)
5.1 Do any of your existing products and/or services qualify as climate solutions or enabling solutions?*
No
5.2 Please confirm your solutions meet all the following safeguard requirements.*
What percentage of your total revenue came from these products and/or services last year?*
-
5.4 Provide descriptions/names of your solutions:*
-
5.5 How did you assess whether these are climate solutions?*

6.2.1 Where are the climate risks you've identified?*
-
6.2.1 Explain*
-
6.2.2 How are you managing these climate risks? Choose as many as are applicable.*
6.2.2 Explain*
-
6.2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your climate risks:*
-
6.3 Have you integrated climate and/or nature into your company mission statement or shareholder agreements? If yes, describe how.*
No
-
6.4 Have you taken actions this year outside of your emissions to accelerate climate progress?*
Yes
We support local tree-planting projects and have sponsored the planting of over 70 trees to date. We also review the environmental credentials of our current and future suppliers to help us make better choices across our supply chain, and work with Anglia Ruskin University to better understand how we can reduce our emissions. As members of the SME Climate Hub, we encourage our smaller suppliers to make their own net zero commitments through our supplier questionnaire.
Results, Challenges and Outlook *
7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.*
Our total emissions were approximately 21 tonnes CO2e, compared with an estimated 23.2 tonnes last year, a slight decrease despite revenue growing by around 50%. Our footprint is dominated by business travel, which was higher than usual due to the opening of our US office. Scope 1 emissions are zero and Scope 2 emissions are low, as our office at Anglia Ruskin University's Arise Innovation Hub is understood to use zero-carbon electricity. This year's calculation method was more detailed than last year's, so comparisons are approximate. Over the coming year, we plan to confirm our office energy data, appoint new support to complete our climate action plan, survey staff commuting and reduce business travel where practical.
7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?*
Reducing scope 3 emissions, Limited control over energy use in buildings, Reducing emissions from business travel, Balancing emission reductions with business growth, Lack of skills and knowledge, Inaccurate or insufficient data
Specify other challenges*
-
7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?*
No
