The majority of the team is trained as 'Carbon Literate' through the Carbon Literacy Project (we re-run training every 2 years). Yes

Our mission is based not only on our own work but also on teaching our clients to be more environmentally minded. "Our mission is for our clients to have the most accessible, inclusive and sustainable websites – in the world! – by 2033." That involves us building website well, and clients understanding the carbon impact of the content they put on it.

6.4 Have you taken actions this year outside of your emissions to accelerate climate progress?*

Yes

We're an Ecologi Climate Action Workforce – https://https://app.ecologi.com/profile/supercool We plant trees for every new website project launched. (Roughly offsetting double our imapct – this is worked out by multiplying our approximate emissions per person per day by the number of days we spent on the project.) We run a Sustainability Working Group, to share the load of taking meaningful action, and to disseminate info about this throughout the team. As well as educating our cliente, we freely share resources to help others be more Digitally Sustainable i.e. better understand the impact of stuff they upload to the internet or keep on their phones etc. – so they can reduce that impact: https://supercooldesign.co.uk/sustainability

Results, Challenges and Outlook *

7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.*

We've essentially carried on as usual. Although we're a remote team and mindful of keeping emissions down, our carbon emissions have increased, due to growing the team, attending more events, and doing more in-person pitches and Discovery sessions. We had begun to refuse to pitch / run workshops in person, but this negatively impacted the business – we actively lost work because of it. So we do travel more than we'd like to. But we still do it only when necessary, and are mindful of how we do it. (We also share tips about how others can do this: https://supercooldesign.co.uk/articles/a-supercool-guide-to-sustainable-in-person-meetings)

7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?*

Reducing scope 3 emissions, Reducing emissions from business travel, Balancing emission reductions with business growth, Time constraints, Low return on investment, Other challenges (please specify)

Specify other challenges*

See above – clients insist on meeting in person at times. This is something we try to navigate as thoughtfully as possible. And we continue to discuss with clients the benefits of less travel. Also, because there is less work around, we're having to market ourselve more so are attending more in-person events than we used to.

7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?*

No
