We are dedicated to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, in alignment with the overarching goal. However, as we operate within the Greater Manchester area, which has set a more immediate target of 2038, we intend to align with this target, provided it remains both realistic and achievable

By shifting to 100% purchased renewable energy, we have successfully reduced our Scope 2 market based emissions to zero and have reduced our electricity consumption by 55% following the implementation of LED lights and energy efficient equipment in our office. However, we still source energy from the UK national grid, meaning our location-based emissions remain

After calculating Scope 3 emissions, we understand that the bulk of our carbon comes from category 1 Purchased Goods & Services. Therefore, we continually work with our main suppliers to incorporate recycled materials into the products we purchase and look for greener ways to transport the goods to us.

Yes

We engaged our principal suppliers to reduce their own carbon footprint by incorporating recycled content in their products and we also invested money into installing solar panels on the roof of the main supplier mill. We also attend local industry coalitions advocating for stronger climate policy.

As our company continues to grow, our Scope 3 emissions increase in proportion to business expansion. However, we are actively working toward our Scope 3 reduction targets through supplier engagement, improved data quality, and integration of climate considerations into procurement processes. While absolute emissions may fluctuate with growth, we are focused on improving emissions intensity and strengthening our long-term decarbonization pathway.
