We operate with no fixed office and a remote team, so our baseline emissions are already low. Our Scope 3 emissions—primarily travel by associates, venue energy use, and third-party digital services—are where we’re focusing reductions. We estimated Scope 2 emissions from the EV using UK government GHG conversion factors (2024) and expected annual mileage. No other Scope 1 or 2 emissions exist, as we do not operate premises or combustion equipment. All staff and delivery are remote or hosted at third-party venues.

We use a combination of: Internal delivery records (e.g. event location, travel mode) Estimated mileage for associate travel Venue and accommodation bookings Software usage data (e.g. Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, cloud storage) Spend-based estimates using UK government or SME Climate Hub emission factors This gives us a directional view of emissions, which we will improve over time by: Surveying suppliers Tracking emissions by project Piloting more structured carbon accounting software in 2025–26

This is Practive Limited’s first year of structured emissions reporting. While we have not yet calculated a full carbon footprint for prior years, our operational model has remained broadly stable (remote-first, project-based, with low fixed overheads). Our Scope 1 and 2 emissions remain near zero, aside from one EV lease. We have begun measuring high-impact Scope 3 areas, including: Associate travel Venue-based energy use (when booked directly) Cloud services and software Consultant and service supplier emissions Progress this year includes: Formalising a net zero target (2035) Setting a near-term Scope 3 reduction target Prioritising virtual delivery where possible Initiating a climate-conscious procurement process We expect more detailed emissions comparison in 2025–26, once a full baseline is in place.
