ZTP does not run its own offices, being mainly remote working. In the 2023 report we calculated homeworking carbon in Scope 2. We are now following the Govt guidelines and reporting in scope 3. The use of company vehicles has grown in 2024 as this side of the business expands.

The platforms we developed and provide, Kiveev and Trace, help businesses monitor and understand their energy and carbon usage. We also aid clients in acquiring green energy, identifying opportunities for reducing footprint, provide benchmarking between sites, supports GRESB, ESOS and SECR reporting.

Our company is about being an enabler to help clients understand, measure and report on their energy usage, and from their reduce it. We also provide help for them to measure energy reduction projects.

By relocating from a central office location into diverse locations and cloud computing we have mitigated the risk of losing both the main office location and teh data servers to climate disasters.

Yes

We have purchased and retired VER gold standard carbon offset certificates in nine projects to offset our measured carbon footprint. These vary from renewable energy development, rainforest replanting to clean water provision in deprived areas.

Our carbon intensity over the year has risen due to a change in activity to having field engineers visit client sites to assess energy meters. Part of this is to perform Net Zero surveys for clients to enable them to reduce intensity. Due to much of this activity being off road and in remote locations the use of electric vehicles is impracticable, although we have one electric hybrid for where the sites are more accessible. Our ability to reduce scope 1 and 2 is limited by already removing our main office to move to home working to remove the commute journey.
