*Due to the nature of our work, we base our target on reduction “per £ million turnover” and “per full time employee (FTE)”. This allows for comparison between companies, but can also provide a useful alternative to absolute figures. For example, if a company is growing rapidly the absolute tCO2e figure may increase, however the intensity metric will be useful in highlighting relative improvements in carbon intensity.

*This is our first formal report after having this done informally in-house for a period of time. We found that hiring an external consultant provides a valuable insight into what we can do better as a business to reduce the impact.
