The environment is very important to Boo Consulting Limited. We recognise that our operations have an effect on the local, regional and global environment and believe that we have a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We have implemented ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS). ISO 14001 requires the organisation to determine the environmental aspects of its activities, products, and services that it can control and those that it can influence with their associated environmental aspects, considering a life cycle perspective and within the defined scope of the environmental management system (EMS). Boo Consulting Limited is committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods. We review our impact regularly and encourage our customers and suppliers to do the same. As a consequence of our commitment to continuous improvements in environmental performance Boo Consulting’s policy is to: - Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements. - Continually improve and monitor environmental performance. - Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts. - Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions. - Increase employee awareness and training. From start-up, we identified several areas where direct action could be taken to minimise our environmental impact: - Our website provider supplies us with eco web hosting. - Our energy provider supplies us with 100% renewable electricity. - We use electricity responsibly and switch off electrical items when not in use. - We have implemented strict retention policies within our system to reduce our digital footprint. - Where practical, we monitor our digital carbon footprint through reporting tools. - All electrical products purchased must meet the EU Ecodesign Directive energy consumption requirements. - We have eliminated paper by using electronic files only. - Our business cards are either made from recycled t-shirts or are made from bamboo using NFC technology. - All waste is separated and recycled or composted wherever possible. - Cleaning products and other consumables are purchased for their cruelty-free, environmental and fair trade merit. - We encourage commuting to work by bicycle or on foot whenever possible. At Boo Consulting, we believe businesses can play a critically important role in helping fight climate change. We contribute 1% of our revenue to carbon removal. We’re proud to fund the next-generation carbon removal. Boo Consulting will continually monitor its practices and implement policies and schemes to minimise the impact on the environment. Staff are verbally informed of any changes in environmental policy and practices.
