Sympatex Technologies, a certified BCorp, is a supplier of high-tech functional materials for clothing, footwear, accessories, workwear and technical applications. Sympatex\' membranes and laminates guarantee being 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable. This high standard of performance is achieved without harming the environment, as Sympatex only produces membranes on a monomaterial basis that are fully recyclable. The big vision: closing the textile loop.

Sympatex Technologies GmbH has worked with ClimatePartner to calculate a corporate carbonfootprint (CCF). The CCF refl ects the total CO₂ emissions released by a company within thedefi ned system boundaries over a specifi ed period of time. A CCF can also refer to only part of acompany, for example, one or more locations of the company. This CCF is for the calculation Corporate Carbon Footprint 2022 The calculation was based on the guidelines of theGreenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (GHG Protocol).

Yes

We are part of the Carbon Reduction Project of the EOG (European Outdoor Group) Project aim: to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and/or increase renewable energy usage within the outdoor industry supply chain. Since early 2021, the European Outdoor Group has been facilitating this precompetitive collaborative action initiative under the umbrella of our Climate Action Programme. The project exploits the fact that, while supply chains are global and diverse, many outdoor companies are sharing suppliers. By participating in this project, organisations have the opportunity to: - collaboratively engage their shared suppliers, - engage in peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and - take real action towards the decarbonisation of the industry.

Compared to 2021, our emissions have doubled. This is due to an increase in sales and more data being included in the CCF that was not available in previous years. It is a challenge to take this into account in future calculations and translate it into concrete measures.
