Installation of solar panels on site to generate renewable energy and export to the grid. 100% electric power supply only and removal of natural gas. Using a 100% renewable energy tariff for imported electric.

3.8 Describe the calculation methodology and comment on the data accuracy, including any tools/methods used to calculate.

Calculations were made based on the physical-unit method, and supplier-specific method. KWH figures were received from energy companies based on the subscribed tariff. A conversion factor for Gas was used in 2024 energy figures in the UK as 0.18290 kg CO2e per kWh. 77% of electricity was imported from an energy supplier using a Renewable Energy for Business tariff. 23% of electricity was self consumed generated by solar panels on site. Calculations based on Solar Edge recording analysis. Natural Gas equated for 8% of energy consumption and was the sole emissions. Gas usage was discontinued after Jan 2024. Scope 1 emissions were recorded based on 1 company vehicle (Petrol Van) and total mileage. Calculations of tC02e were conducted using Ecovadis Carbon Calculator.

Scanstrut has decreased its consumption of natural gas progressively in the last 3 consecutive years and changed to Renewable electricity tariffs. Gas consumption to Electricity consumption split in 2024 was reduced by 39% in comparison to 2021 data. From January 2024 Scanstrut made the commitment to use electricity only on site. Scanstrut has begun exporting energy back to the grid. In 2024 it exported 2729 KWh of energy generated by solar panels on site.
