From our Carbon Reduction Plan: "implantcast UK Ltd. is in an exponential growth phase. This means that maintaining a carbon emission footprint is a challenge. In 5 years, the business is forecast to be twice the size of 2022. 67% of our current carbon emissions are generated via freight. We are as a business looking for carbon neutral options for freight however they currently do not exist. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 581 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 4%."

Commitment to gain ISO 14001 compliance by the end of Q2 2024 achieved April 2024 - certification effective date 23.07.2024 & expiry date 22.07.2027. Reduce CO2 emissions by acquiring a 95% electric car fleet by 2030 - icUK will ensure new fleet contracts are EV. Prioritising the procurement of recyclable packaging and encouraging the reuse of packaging. Improving icUK\'s stock management system to reduce the requirements of additional shipping to and from implantcast Germany (parent company) and our Customers (hospitals).

Our baseline year emissions are as follows: scope 1 - 45.8, scope 2 - 10.5, scope 3 - 549.8 and our total - 606.10. Our 2023 financial year emissions are as follows: scope 1 - 34, scope 2 - 72.9, scope 3 - 877.8 and total - 984. We believe this increase has occurred due to the growth of our business between those two years (22%). Since the financial year of April 2023 to March 2024, icUK have implemented measures that we hope will begin to reduce our emissions. However, it is important to note that we are a continually growing business.
