Downton Distillery is committed to becoming Net Zero by 2024. Over the last year we have committed to both rewilding, planting trees and carbon capture through technology. Distillery has partnered with ‘Climeworks’ becoming one of their climate pioneers. Each month the distillery is locking CO2 through their carbon capture programme. This volume will increase as the distillery grows. Our new spirits range is using 100% recycled glass. The glassware uses 70% less CO2 in production and is 33% lighter than the Explorer’s bottle. The bottles are all unique in design, as defects are allowed within the glass, providing the bottle a textured finish. The bottles can be fully recycled ensuring a closed loop within the recycling chain.
