Commitment and Targets *

2.1 Net zero target year

2040

2.1.1 Base year

*
2020

2.1.2 Base year value

*
-

2.2 Near-term target

*

50% of intensity scope 1+2 emission reduction from my base year by 2030

2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your net zero and near term targets.

*
We strive to reduce emission and compensate for the amount that cannot be reduced to the extent possible. In scope 1 and 2, we purchase 100% renewable energy; in scope 3 which contribute to more than 90% of total emission, we compensate for it by supporting certified carbon avoidance, and reforestation projects on Ecologi.

2.4 To reduce emissions in line with my commitment, my company has a climate action plan and is taking action

*
Yes, the plan and action include all scope 1+2+3

Own Emissions *

Energy consumption

3.2 Total energy consumption

*
2848 kWh

3.3 Total renewable energy consumption

*
2848 kWh

Scope 1 emissions

3.4 Scope 1 emissions

*
0 metric tons CO2e

Scope 2 emissions

3.5 Location-based scope 2 emissions

*
0.512 metric tons CO2e

3.7 Have you taken any actions to reduce scope 1+2 emissions in the reporting period?

*
Yes

3.7.1 What actions have you taken to reduce scope 1+2 emissions in the reporting period

*

Switch to renewable electricity,Energy efficient buildings and offices,Transport and logistics,Material circularity and waste reduction,Other company behavioural changes

3.7.2 Provide any additional details

*
We purchase 100% renewable energy for the home office and we outsourced the storage and distribution of products. As the new home office had poor insulation, we egan with improving it. On this year we installed 600mm of glass mineral wool at the loft to reduce heat loss and sealed the gaps at the front door to reduce heat loss too. Also the over 20 years old boiler was replaced with a new energy efficient one, improving the use of gas, together with a new smart thermostat, valves and the radiator system was cleaned, most of this improvements were done during the summer, so just before the end of the reporting year. We also changed all bulbs to led energy efficient bulbs, to reduce consumption and older electric appliances are changed for high energy efficient electric appliances. The next step for the coming year will be to install an underfloor insulation, to reduce the heat loss, entrance of cold air and ultimately used of energy to keep the room warm.

3.8 Which tools or methods did you use to calculate your scope 1+2 emissions?

*

Other calculator (please specify)

3.8.1 Specify any additional details

*
We used Normative carbon calculator to calculate the energy consumption estimation with the energy consumption provided by the energy, I amnion sure if this was also called Small Business Carbon Calculator.

Value Chain Emissions (optional) *

Scope 3 emissions

4.1 Have you measured any of your scope 3 emissions?

*
Yes

Supply chain related - upstream emissions

Customer related - downstream emissions

4.2 Have you taken any actions to reduce scope 3 emissions in the reporting period?

*
Yes

4.2.1 What actions have you taken to reduce scope 3 emissions in the reporting period?

*

Business travel and commuting,Transport and logistics,Supply chain engagement,Material circularity and waste reduction,Other company behavioural changes

4.2.2 Provide any additional details

*
We supported certified carbon offset and tree planting projects on Ecologi, with the estimation of 22.56 tonnnes of CO2 avoided and 1,440 native trees planted in this financial year. We also are looking to start our reporting with SME Climate Hub, and prepare a NEtZero strategy during 2024, to help us to understand better our impact and find ways to reduce our emissions from our value

4.3 Have you asked any of your suppliers to set a net zero target (either voluntarily or as a requirement)?

*
No

4.4 Have you communicated your commitment and actions to any of your customers?

*
Yes

4.5 Which tools or methods did you use to calculate your scope 3 emissions?

*

Other calculator (please specify),Other (please specify)

4.5.1 Specify additional details

*
We calculated the downstream distribution and transportation with distance of delivery estimated to the degree possible with UK GHG conversion factors data, and we leveraged the Normative tool to calculate the other emission categories

Results, Challenges and Outlook *

7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.

*
With a reduction of Scope 3 emissions compared to the previous year, resulting from a decrease in online orders, a 40% decrease in total emissions is shown. This decline highlights the significant impact that consumer behaviour and order volume have on indirect emissions. This is going to be a big challenge and it is not directly in our hands to reduce it. Reducing the consumption of heat required at the new home office that we moved in at the end of 2022, is being achieved by improving the insulation of the house/office, changing the boiler to an energy efficient one. More actions on improving insulation will be taken, but all that is costly and can’t be done at once. It is going to be difficult to reduce the energy use on heating once the feasible insulation improvements have been made. We supported certified carbon offset and reforestation projects on Ecologi, with the estimation of 22.56 tonnnes of CO2 avoided and 1,440 native trees planted in this financial year, the avoided tonnes of CO2 is close to the total of upstream emissions. We started to prepare ana action plan including preparing the first report for SME Climate Hub and find support to develop a NetZero strategy during 2024.

7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?

*

Reducing scope 1+2 emissions,Reducing scope 3 emissions,Electrifying the vehicle fleet and/or cutting transport emissions,Balancing emission reductions with business growth,Complexities in managing supply chain emissions,Lack of skills and knowledge,Insufficient funding,Inaccurate or insufficient data,Low return on investment,Other challenges (please specify)

Specify other challenges

*
Slow societal and economic progress on climate action, Insufficient policies or government incentives.

7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?

*

No
