Scope 2 emissions

3.5 Location based scope 2 emissions

*

3.7 Describe your plans and actions taken to reduce scope 1 & 2 emissions.

*
We plan to use the diesel car less to attend events (this is when the distances are too far for the electric car to complete the journey and has only occurred twice over the year), and reduce journeys in general as we know that this makes up the majority of our output. We actually expect our emissions to grow shortly as we take on another member of staff (we currently work from home so this will involve taking on premises and a person with their own equipment), but will look to offset that.

3.8 Describe the calculation methodology and comment on the data accuracy, including any tools/methods used to calculate.

*
We used Normative's business carbon calculator, inputting figures for our income and expenses, but it didn't take into account our travel (personal cars), so we also calculated the recorded work mileage from the electric car (most journeys) and diesel car (only used for two journeys) and added this in too. We then used an online calculator to bring all of this data together in the same format (eg all in kwH for the total). Normative said that 0.562 tonnes CO₂e actually come under scope 3, so it appears in the total but not in this breakdown (appears in next section).

Value Chain Emissions (optional) *

Scope 3 emissions

4.1 Have you measured any of your scope 3 emissions?

*
Yes

4.1.1 Total scope 3 emissions

Supply chain related - upstream emissions

Customer related - downstream emissions

Results, Challenges and Outlook *

7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.

*
We have kept our sustainability policy up to date and continue to choose suppliers and partners with climate/environmental values and policies, as well as offsetting a portion of our CO2e output through climate action company Ecologi.

7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?

*

Reducing scope 1 emissions,Reducing scope 2 emissions,Reducing emissions from business travel,Balancing emission reductions with business growth,Insufficient funding

7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?

*

No
