Our governance approach reflects our belief that good business should balance purpose and profit. In line with B Corp requirements, we have embedded our social and environmental commitments into the very structure of our business, ensuring accountability at the highest level. In 2023, we formally updated our Articles of Association to commit to having a material positive impact on society and the environment taken as a whole. Governance is the underlying framework that defines and controls the inputs, outcomes and benefits from our business on behalf of internal and external stakeholders, including Trustees, shareholders, directors, employees and suppliers. We have a clear governance structure to demonstrate excellence in service, but also to crucially balance profit, people and the planet.

6.2 Have you started to identify and assess your companies climate risks and opportunities?

*

*

We\'ve mapped the impact of our climate risks over time (short, medium and long term horizons),We\'ve Integrated these adaptation plans into business practices

6.2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your climate risks:

*
Assael acknowledges that to be a successful, sustainable and competitive organisation, we must demonstrate a genuine and measurable commitment to pursuing an ethical and responsible business agenda. We have previously used various tools and initiatives to attain this goal, however, to further enhance these measures and communicate our responsible agenda to the outside world, we have achieved B Corp certification in 2024 and published our first impact report in 2025. At Assael Architecture, we recognise our responsibility to lead in the transition towards a more sustainable built environment. Our residential-led and mixed-use projects integrate low-carbon design strategies and prioritise circular economy principles. We promote the use of modern methods of construction to our clients with a strong emphasis on volumetric modular construction - for its ability to reduce waste, lower embodied carbon, and deliver higher-quality outcomes through precision manufacture and efficiency in onsite construction.

6.3 Have you integrated climate and/or nature into your company mission statement or shareholder agreements? If yes, describe how.

*

Yes

By promoting a culture of collective responsibility and continuous improvement, we aim to deliver exceptional design quality, enhance staff wellbeing, and maintain financial stability, while also reducing our environmental impact and strengthening our contribution to society. Our long-term vision is one of resilience, inclusivity, and sustainable growth, ensuring that the benefits of our work extend to present and future generations, and that our practice continues to thrive as a force for good.

6.4 Have you taken actions this year outside of your emissions to accelerate climate progress?

*

Yes

Environmental policies, BCorp certification, Offsetting

Results, Challenges and Outlook *

7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.

*
Our overall emissions have decreased by 7% from 2024 with a reduction across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.. The largest fall has been reported on our company vehicles, as we are now changing over to electric only vehicles. We hope to reduce this further as current contracts end. We have decreased our electricity usage further by setting automatic switch offs on our lighting within the office to a shorter period. By holding meetings on Teams instead of travelling out of the office, we have also seen a decrease in land travel. Staff are encouraged to cycle, walk or take public transport and we offer the Cyclescheme to all employees. Due to the increase in international project work, we are having difficulty in reducing business travel by air and hotel accommodation. We promote train travel to Europe instead of taking flights where possible.

7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?

*

Reducing scope 3 emissions,Reducing emissions from business travel,Balancing emission reductions with business growth,Complexities in managing supply chain emissions

7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?
