We follow the GHG Protocol to measure scope 3 emissions. We use the spend-based method to calculate scope 3.1 and scope 3.2. For scope 3.4 and scope 3.9, we calculate the total tonne-kilometers of all shipments. We use an estimate, based on a waste audit to calculate scope 3.5. We survey the company annually to capture data on business travel, work-from-home, and commuting habits.

*
While we have reduced our Scope 1 emissions, our Scope 2 emissions were higher in 2023 than in 2022 due to the move to a larger warehouse. We are working to find a renewable energy solution for this facility. Overall, our total Scope 1-3 emissions have increased by 7% between 2022 to 2023 due to business growth and increased accuracy of our measurements. It is our hope that the decarbonization strategies that we have identified will begin to result in a downward trajectory of our annual emissions.

7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?

*

Reducing scope 3 emissions,Limited control over energy use in buildings,Reducing emissions from business travel,Balancing emission reductions with business growth,Complexities in managing supply chain emissions,Limited influence over suppliers

7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?
