Practive operates without a fixed office and with a predominantly remote working model, so Scope 1 and 2 emissions remain low. Our principal measured emissions arise from business travel associated with client delivery and our associate network. We have retrospectively strengthened our 2025 baseline using detailed accounting and travel records and have set a target to reduce absolute Scope 3 emissions by 50% from the 2025 base year by 2030. Our approach includes virtual delivery where appropriate, lower-carbon travel choices, careful venue selection and improved collection of travel and supplier emissions data.

During 2025–26 we continued to use virtual delivery and internal meetings where appropriate, selected venues with public transport access in mind, encouraged lower-carbon travel for associates, reduced printed materials and physical logistics, and improved our recording of business-travel emissions. We have strengthened our carbon accounting by using detailed Xero expense records to distinguish mileage, rail, public transport, taxis, flights and accommodation.

For face-to-face work, we encouraged lower-carbon travel choices and considered public transport access when selecting venues. We also improved our recording and analysis of business-travel emissions using detailed accounting and expense data, helping us identify where future reductions can be made.

This is Practive Limited’s second year of structured emissions reporting. During 2025–26 we improved the quality of our Scope 3 data by reconstructing business-travel emissions from detailed accounting and expense records. This also allowed us to strengthen our 2025 baseline retrospectively. Measured Scope 3 business-travel emissions are estimated at 27.7 tCO2e for 2025–26, compared with a reconstructed 2025 business-travel baseline of 18.7 tCO2e. The increase reflects both higher business-travel activity and improved capture of rail, air, taxi and accommodation emissions. Our priority is now to use this stronger baseline to reduce travel emissions while continuing to grow the business, with particular focus on when delivery can be virtual, lower-carbon travel choices, venue location and more consistent emissions data from associates and suppliers.
