2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your net zero and near term targets.*
Fresh Egg's total emissions rose this year due to two factors unrelated to underlying performance. First, a one off structural repair to the building (vent repair, tenant funded) added a significant, non recurring spend based emissions figure to this year's total. This is expected to be a single year spike rather than an ongoing cost. Second, improvements to our emissions reporting methodology and data collection tools have captured emissions sources and activities more comprehensively than in previous years, which increases reported totals without reflecting a genuine rise in activity. Excluding these two factors, emissions across most operational categories continued to decrease year on year, consistent with the downward trend seen since the 2024 base year.
2.4 To reduce emissions in line with my commitment, my company has a climate action plan and is taking action*

No
3.8 Which tools or methods did you use to calculate your Scope 1 and 2 emissions?*
Small Business Carbon Calculator
3.8.1 Specify any additional details*
Fresh Egg operates an electricity only office with no company vehicles, machinery, or on-site fuel combustion. As a result, the business has no meaningful direct emissions sources under its operational control. The Scope 1 figure reported reflects a small value automatically generated by the Small Business Carbon Calculator rather than any activity or fuel use specific to Fresh Egg, and is not something the business can influence or reduce further. Scope 2 emissions are already zero on a market basis, as Fresh Egg's electricity supply is covered by a 100% renewable energy tariff.
Value Chain Emissions (optional)
Scope 3 emissions
4.1 Have you measured any of your scope 3 emissions?*
Yes
Supply chain related - upstream emissions
Customer related - downstream emissions

No
4.3.1 What percentage of your suppliers have you asked?*
-
4.4 Have you communicated your commitment and actions to any of your customers?*
Yes
4.5 Which tools or methods did you use to calculate your scope 3 emissions?*
Small Business Carbon Calculator
4.5.1 Specify additional details*
As Fresh Egg's carbon reporting methodology matures, we expect to see some short term fluctuation, and potentially a temporary rise, in reported Scope 3 emissions before figures stabilise. This is a normal and expected pattern as data collection improves and captures emissions sources more comprehensively than in earlier reporting years, rather than an indication of increasing underlying activity. Figures are expected to normalise as the improved methodology becomes the consistent baseline for future comparisons. Fresh Egg's internal carbon reduction plan includes a more detailed breakdown of activity based emissions data than the current reporting tool is able to capture or display. Work is ongoing to convert more categories from spend based to activity based data over time, in line with best practice, and this more granular breakdown will be reflected in the reporting tool as it becomes available.
Climate Solutions (optional)
5.1 Do any of your existing products and/or services qualify as climate solutions or enabling solutions?*
No
5.2 Please confirm your solutions meet all the following safeguard requirements.*
What percentage of your total revenue came from these products and/or services last year?*

Governance, Strategy and Climate Risk (optional)
6.1 What governance processes do you have in place for your climate strategy? Choose as many as are applicable.*
Governance process in place
6.1 Explain*
-
6.1.1 Please describe their position and responsibility.*
-
6.1.2 Is this person (or another at executive and board level) also responsible for climate risk?*
-
6.1.3 Please describe the governance process in place*
Fresh Egg's governance process is anchored in its certified B Corp status. As part of certification, Fresh Egg has legally amended its Articles of Association at Companies House to formally embed consideration of environmental and social impact into its governance structure, making environmental responsibility a binding legal commitment rather than a voluntary policy. Climate action sits within this governance structure at leadership level. The CEO and leadership team have been directly involved in developing Fresh Egg's climate action plan, which includes a dedicated carbon reduction plan integrated within a full Sustainability Management System covering environmental, social, and governance areas. This plan was developed with expert support from Boxless, Fresh Egg's sustainability partner, ensuring the approach is grounded in recognised sustainability standards and reporting frameworks (including alignment with the SME Climate Hub commitment). The leadership team meets quarterly, providing regular oversight of progress against the sustainability management system and carbon reduction plan.
6.2 Have you started to identify and assess your companies climate risks and opportunities?*
No - we plan to in the next 1-5 years
6.2.1 Where are the climate risks you've identified?*
-
6.2.1 Explain*
-
6.2.2 How are you managing these climate risks? Choose as many as are applicable.*
6.2.2 Explain*
-
6.2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your climate risks:*
-
6.3 Have you integrated climate and/or nature into your company mission statement or shareholder agreements? If yes, describe how.*
Yes
As a certified B Corp, Fresh Egg has legally embedded stakeholder and environmental consideration into its governance through an amendment to its Articles of Association at Companies House. This makes consideration of environmental and social impact a binding legal requirement for the company. Climate action is reflected within Fresh Egg's broader purpose statement, which commits the business to positive environmental and social impact as part of its wider mission, in line with B Corp principles.
6.4 Have you taken actions this year outside of your emissions to accelerate climate progress?*
Yes
Fresh Egg has taken action this year to reduce the carbon footprint of the digital products it builds for clients, designing and delivering larger websites with lower carbon impact through efficient code, hosting choices, and reduced data transfer. Fresh Egg's own new website also has a lower environmental footprint. Fresh Egg has also achieved B Corp certification this year, a rigorous third party verified standard requiring the company to meet high standards across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers, and legally committing the business to consider its impact on all stakeholders.
Results, Challenges and Outlook *
7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.*
Fresh Egg's emissions have moved from 71 tCO2e in the 2024 base year to 66 tCO2e in 2025, a genuine reduction of around 7% driven by improvements across most operational categories. In 2026, reported emissions rose to 107.91 tCO2e. This increase is not a reversal of that progress, but reflects two specific, identifiable factors: a one off structural repair to the leased office building (a vent repair, tenant funded, and non recurring), and improvements to our carbon reporting methodology and data tools, which have captured emissions sources more comprehensively than in prior years. Excluding these two factors, emissions across most categories continued to decrease, consistent with the trend seen since the base year. Corrective action is not required for the building repair itself, since it was a one off, necessary maintenance cost rather than an ongoing emissions source. For the methodology driven increase, no correction is needed either, since this reflects improved accuracy rather than increased activity. Fresh Egg's approach going forward is to continue converting spend based emissions data to activity based data category by category, which will improve the precision of future reporting and reduce the likelihood of similar fluctuations being misread as underlying trend changes.
7.2 Do you face any key challenges in reducing emissions?*
Reducing scope 3 emissions, Balancing emission reductions with business growth, Complexities in managing supply chain emissions, Inaccurate or insufficient data
Specify other challenges*
-
7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?*
Yes
Yes. Fresh Egg's emissions data and reporting have been reviewed in partnership with Boxless, a sustainability consultancy supporting Fresh Egg's B Corp and environmental reporting journey, specifically by a certified Carbon Literacy practitioner working within that partnership. Boxless is not a dedicated carbon accounting firm, but a broader sustainability expert partner, and has thoroughly reviewed this year's data and methodology in detail as part of that partnership.
