Given the nature of the insurance industry, our ability to reinstate properties with sustainable materials is conditional on policyholders having previously had those materials in place. Suppliers are shifting towards more sustainable sources for what they provide so this shift is largely out of our hands. In terms of fuel usage, which constitutes around 25% of our emissions, we have assessed the suitability of electric vans, but feel the battery life isn't sufficient enough to meet our needs. This should hopefully improve over time.
