Cellar Society has established the FY 2024–2025 reporting period as our formal baseline year. Our total emissions for this period are 2,271.79 tCO2e (Scope 1: 21.72, Scope 2 Market-Based: 0.00, Scope 3: 2,208.42 tCO2e). By establishing this baseline, our primary focus is on improving data maturity and laying a highly accurate foundation for future reductions. Key highlights and operational focus areas include: 1. Improving Data Maturity (Scope 3): With Scope 3 accounting for over 97% of our footprint, value chain transparency is our top priority. Our main objective moving forward is to transition from financial spend-based estimates to precise, item-level activity data for food and beverage procurement. We are also rolling out a mandatory External Suppliers Code of Conduct to engage our partners directly in reduction efforts. 2. Scope 2 Decarbonisation: We have successfully eliminated our market-based Scope 2 emissions by securing a 100% zero-carbon electricity supply across our London headquarters, backed by 74% REGO-certified renewable generation and 26% nuclear declarations. 3. Scope 1 Logistics: To address our direct operational footprint, we are actively trialling electric refrigerated vans and implementing route-optimisation software to cut transport intensity. 4. Operational Efficiency Wins: We maintain strict operational controls at our headquarters, including a zero-to-landfill waste policy, achieving a 77.2% waste recovery rate through specialised anaerobic digestion and recycling partners.
