We installed solar panels to generate some of our own electricity and have replaced 2 manual folding machines which were 3 phase, with automated, 3 pin ply machines with reduced set up times, power usage and waste. We also reviewed our delivery patterns and made efficiencies which have reduced miles by our van.

We reduced our business travel by utilising online meetings with customers and not attending as many exhibitions. We analysed our delivery patterns and made efficiencies to combine and reduce the number of deliveries. We sent out a request for data from our suppliers to analyse how many have a decarbonisation plan in place.

Due to us using a carbon estimator and very few of our suppliers yet working on climate plan, we are aware that our data may not be as accurate as we would like. This year we plan to use the Defra factors to start measuring our own emissions more accurately and now have several suppliers who will soon be able to provide us with scope 3 data for their services.
