Scope 1: This year, we have changed our website host to a provider that uses 100% renewable energy. It’s a small change but indicates the right path. In the medium term, we plan to buy an electric van. Scope 2: Our energy is already 100% renewable and on top of that we have 32 solar panels to generate enough energy to charge our electric cars. There isn't much else we can do in this scope.

Scope 1: We collect information from vans registration sheet filled by the drivers and the website host company. Scope 2: We receive information from the energy provider.

Our client’s flights account for 97,13% of our total emissions so it’s the most relevant source to tackle. 30,3% of the volunteers already compensated their flights and we want to increase this figure to 50%.

Upstream Transportation & Distribution - Client flights emissions: We calculate how many flights are Domestic (0,1), Short-haul (0,8), Medium-haul (1,7), Long-haul (3,4) or Ultra long-haul (5,4) and multiply the number of trips with its emissions factor to calculate these emissions. - Client transfers emissions: We take the emissions indicated by our transfers partner (Bolt) - Supplier delivery emissions: We ask information to our suppliers and based on the regularity of the delivery (every day, twice a week, once a month...) and the distance from the warehouse to our hostel, we calculate the total distance (km) of the deliveries. Then, we multiply by the factor 0,20235 to calculate the emissions. Purchased Goods & Services - Water: We get the number of liters from our provided multiplied by the factor 0,176684546579014 - Food: We get information on the € spent on food related suppliers and use the emissions factor 0,295 - IT products: We calculated the weight of Big appliances, Small appliances cars and used the emissions factor 3814,37 and 1148,42 respectively. We also accounted for 2 electric cars and used the emissions factor 0,286 for the price paid by the cars. - Laundry: We used the weight of the laundry paid to our provider Business Travel - Corporate flights: We used the dame method as for the Client flights emissions Employee Commuting: We asked each person the distance from their house to work and calculated the transportation method used to commute. The factors used were: - Public transportation: 0,082 - Car: 0,123 - Motorbike: 0,115 - Bicycle/walking/remote: 0

We are a certified B Corporation and B Corps are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on all of their stakeholders - a model known as stakeholder governance. The B Corp legal framework allows companies to protect their mission and ensures that the company will continue to practice stakeholder governance even after capital raises and leadership changes. We have already changed the website host to a 100% renewable provider and we offer the local public transportation pass to all employees to incentivise them using public transportation to commute.
