Own internal calculations
3.8.1 Specify any additional details*
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were calculated internally using operational energy consumption data and UK Government GHG Conversion Factors. Scope 1 is zero because PeaSoup has no direct fuel combustion sources or company-owned vehicles. Scope 2 is calculated using electricity consumption for our office and UK data-centre operations and the applicable UK electricity emissions factor.
Value Chain Emissions (optional)
Scope 3 emissions
4.1 Have you measured any of your scope 3 emissions?*
Yes
Supply chain related - upstream emissions
Customer related - downstream emissions
Scope 3 units confirmation*
I confirm that I have entered all Scope 3 emissions values in metric tons CO2e

Climate strategy and planning, Business travel and commuting, Material circularity and waste reduction, Product/service design innovation, Digital and technology-enabled solutions
4.2.2 Provide any additional details*
PeaSoup has reduced business travel and employee commuting, extended the operational life of server hardware, increased reuse and responsible recycling, and continued development of its energy-efficient liquid immersion cloud platform. Business travel emissions reduced by approximately 86% and employee commuting emissions by approximately 80% compared with the baseline period. We continue to monitor purchased goods and services, which remain the largest component of our Scope 3 emissions.

Primary purpose of enabling others to reduce their emissions.
5.2 Please confirm your solutions meet all the following safeguard requirements.*
Does not support or extend the use of fossil fuel-based technologies
What percentage of your total revenue came from these products and/or services last year?*
90–100%
5.4 Provide descriptions/names of your solutions:*
PeaSoup provides UK cloud infrastructure services designed to reduce the energy and resource intensity associated with conventional data-centre computing. Our platform uses liquid immersion cooling, removing the need for server fans and reducing cooling overhead. PeaSoup's comparative testing demonstrated approximately 22% lower direct server power consumption using immersion cooling. We also extend hardware lifecycles, reduce cooling infrastructure requirements and operate a highly virtualised shared cloud platform. These efficiencies are delivered directly through our IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS and S3 object-storage services.
5.5 How did you assess whether these are climate solutions?*
Using our own internal method (please describe)
5.5.1 Has any third party validated this?*
No
5.5.2 Specify any additional details*
PeaSoup has assessed the solution using operational experience and comparative testing of conventional air-cooled and liquid-immersion server operation. Controlled testing demonstrated approximately 22% lower direct server power consumption when operated under immersion, primarily through removal of server fan power and improved thermal operation. Our wider approach also includes reduced cooling overhead, high levels of virtualisation, extending server hardware lifecycles and responsible reuse and recycling. We have not claimed a 50% whole-service carbon reduction because this has not yet been independently demonstrated against a market-weighted industry baseline.
Governance, Strategy and Climate Risk (optional)
6.1 What governance processes do you have in place for your climate strategy? Choose as many as are applicable.*
Governance process in place, Person is responsible for climate strategy at board level
