How it works

Report

Companies that have joined the SME Climate Hub must report on their emissions within a year. This can be done through SME Climate Hub’s own reporting tool or by uploading the company’s own climate report.

Why make an SME Climate Commitment?

By making an SME Climate Commitment, companies show that they recognize the threat of climate change to the economy, nature and society at large, and undertake to act immediately to contribute to a more sustainable future. Companies making this commitment promise to:

Halve its greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and 2 before 2030.
Achieve net zero emissions across all Scopes by 2050.
Report their progress annually to demonstrate transparency and accountability.

Through this commitment, the companies gain recognition from the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign and join a global movement of governments, companies, cities, regions and universities working towards the same goal: to create a climate-neutral future.
