We have made a commitment to reduce as much as we possibly can through educating our colleagues, putting policies in place and engaging a supplier to help calculate our emissions in detail. As a services firm, our emissions are not huge, however there is scope for improvement. There will be some emissions we are unable to reduce and will therefore look at carbon removal projects.

Business travel and supplier engagement are the two areas which we need to really focus on to reduce our emissions. We have formalised a business travel policy, ensuring all travel is essential, colleagues travel by public transport/walk/cycle rather than car as much as possible. Any flights are offset at point of purchase and economy class. Where meetings can be via Teams/Zoom rather than include travel, we will do this. We have a CSR working group who will look at where else we can make and implement reductions. We are beginning to engage with all suppliers and challenging them to measure their footprints. Where we are changing suppliers, we are trying to stick with B Corps. Colleagues will be encouraged to work from the office in winter months to cut down personal heating emissions.
