At BlackCamel Energy Ltd, our commitment to sustainability is both foundational and forward-looking. As the founding organization of the NetZero Carbon Guilt-Free Seal, we are setting a new standard for carbon neutrality within the forest product value chain. This initiative is designed to foster transparency, accountability, and measurable impact, ensuring our products—from teak decking to exotic tabletops—are produced and exported with minimal environmental footprint. In the near term, we are implementing quantifiable carbon accounting systems across our operations to assess and reduce emissions. This includes transitioning to cleaner energy sources in our manufacturing processes, optimizing logistics to cut transportation emissions, and working closely with certified forest sources to enhance carbon sequestration. We are also working towards partnering with certification bodies like PEFC and collaborating with international stakeholders to align our practices with evolving regulatory frameworks such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Our net zero vision is not just a goal—it’s a framework that drives innovation, builds trust with environmentally conscious consumers, and contributes to a global low-carbon future.

3.7 Describe your plans and actions taken to reduce scope 1 & 2 emissions.

*
To reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 Emissions we are considering: Scope 1 Emissions Reduction Plans 1. Energy Efficiency Improvements: Implement energy-efficient technologies and practices to reduce energy consumption. 2. Fuel Switching: Switch to cleaner fuels or energy sources, such as renewable energy, to reduce emissions. 3. Process Optimization: Optimize production processes to reduce energy consumption and emissions. 4. Emissions Capture and Utilization: Implement technologies to capture and utilize emissions, such as carbon capture and storage (Natural carbon sink). Scope 2 Emissions Reduction Plans 1. Renewable Energy Procurement: Procure renewable energy from sources such as solar, wind, or hydroelectric power. 2. Energy Efficiency Improvements: Implement energy-efficient technologies and practices to reduce energy consumption. 3. Grid Decarbonization: Invest in grid decarbonization projects or renewable energy certificates (RECs) to reduce emissions associated with grid electricity. 4. On-Site Renewable Energy Generation: Install on-site renewable energy generation systems, such as solar panels, to reduce reliance on grid electricity. Implementation and Monitoring: To ensure the effectiveness of these plans, we are: 1. Setting Emissions Reduction Targets: Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) targets for reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. 2. Monitor Progress: Regularly monitoring progress towards emissions reduction targets and adjust plans as needed. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and customers, to raise awareness and promote collaboration on emissions reduction efforts. 4. Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve emissions reduction plans and strategies to ensure ongoing progress.

3.8 Describe the calculation methodology and comment on the data accuracy, including any tools/methods used to calculate.

*
The calculation methodology used to estimate the Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions for teak decking production involves the following steps: 1. Energy consumption estimation: Estimating the total energy consumption for each stage of the production process, including harvesting, transportation, sawing, kiln drying, machining, and packaging. 2. Emissions factors application: Applying emissions factors to the energy consumption estimates to calculate the Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. 3. Location-based emissions calculation: Using location-based emissions factors to calculate the Scope 2 emissions.
