*
2050

2.1.1 Base year

*
2022

2.2 Near-term target

*

50% of absolute scope 1+2 emission reduction from my base year by 2030

2.3 Provide any additional comments or context on your net zero and near term targets.

*
We have based our near-term and net-zero targets on the SME Climate Hub Commitments.

Own Emissions *

3.1 To reduce emissions in line with my commitment, my company has a plan and is taking action

*
Yes

Energy consumption

3.2 Total energy consumption

*
620927 kwh

3.3 Renewable energy

*
0 kwh

Scope 1 emissions

3.4 Scope 1 emissions

*
117.02 metric tons CO2e

Scope 2 emissions

3.5 Location based scope 2 emissions

*
129 metric tons CO2e

3.7 Describe your plans and actions taken to reduce scope 1 & 2 emissions.

*
We are investigating purchasing renewable energy certificates and renewable energy sources on site.

3.8 Describe the calculation methodology and comment on the data accuracy, including any tools/methods used to calculate.

*
We followed the GHG Protocol. We used a mix of spend and unit data. Where possible we always used unit data over spend data as we recognise that this provides a more accurate result. The scope 1 and 2 emissions included owned vehicles which was calculated using number of miles per vehicle, fugitive emissions which was calculated using Kgs of gas replaced in HVAC systems, and purchased electricity was calculated using Kwh from invoices.

Value Chain Emissions (optional) *

Scope 3 emissions

4.1 Have you measured any of your scope 3 emissions?

*
Yes

4.1.1 Total scope 3 emissions

*

*
35.52 metric tons CO2e

4.1.8 Employee commuting

*
30 metric tons CO2e

Customer related - downstream emissions

4.1.13 End-of-life treatment of products

*
7.8 metric tons CO2e

4.1.17 Do you have a plan and are taking action to reduce emissions from your value chain?

*

Yes

Our plan is to: 1. engage logistics partners to understand their plans to reduce their emissions. 2. Develop a strategy to reduce raw material emissions as we are aware this is our most significant contributor to our overall carbon footprint. We are investigating onshoring of manufacturing. We also recognise that the amount of carbon emissions associated with capital goods is higher this year due to us constructing a new manufacturing facility and therefore these emissions should reduce once the factory is completed in early 2025.

4.2 Have you asked any of your suppliers to set a net zero target (either voluntarily or as a requirement)?

*
No

4.3 Have you communicated your commitment and actions to any of your customers?

*
Yes

4.4 Describe the calculation methodology and comment on the data accuracy and any tools used to calculate your scope 3 emissions.

*
We have used the categories based on the GHG protocol. We identified the categories relevant to Fixfast and calculated our carbon footprint using a mix of spend data and unit data. The following categories were calculated using spend data: Purchased goods and services (products), capital goods, business travel and upstream transportation and distribution. To calculate the spend data we used emissions factors from SIC Code 2021. The following categories were calculated using Kgs: purchased goods and services (packaging), end of life treatment of products. Waste generated in operations was calculated using tonnes. Employee commuting was calculated using the number of full time equivalent employees and the average travel mode based on DfT transport statistics 2022. The following category was calculated using Kwh: fuel and energy related activities. We used the emissions factors from the government website to calculate the carbon emissions for unit data.

Climate Solutions (optional) *

5.1 Do you classify any of your existing goods and/or services as a climate solution?

*
No

Management, Strategy and Climate Risk (optional) *

6.1 What governance processes do you have in place for your climate strategy? Choose as many as are applicable.

*

Governance process in place

6.2 Have you started to identify and assess your companies climate risks and opportunities?

*
No - we don't currently plan to do this

6.3 Have you integrated climate and/or nature into your company mission statement or shareholder agreements? If yes, describe how.

*

No

-

6.4 Have you taken actions this year outside of your emissions to accelerate climate progress?

*

Yes

We have updated our supplier code of conduct which encourages suppliers to implement mechanisms to reduce their overall environmental impact. By reducing their environmental impact they will subsequently reduce their overall carbon emissions. We are in the process of moving offices and bringing manufacturing into the UK to give us more control over emissions sources.

Results, Challenges and Outlook *

7.1 Provide any additional comments or context on your annual results and progress from previous years.

*
We have incorporated new categories into the carbon footprint including fugitive emissions; purchased goods and services (packaging); fuel and energy related activities; waste generated in operations; employee commuting and end-of-life treatment of products. There has also been more raw materials purchased (due to growth) and much higher capital spend in 2023 compared to 2022 as Fixfast are building a new factory.

7.3 Has there been any third party validation of the data submitted in this report?

*

No
